Musculoskeletal (MSK) radiologists specialize in providing diagnostic and therapeutic imaging services to diagnose and monitor injuries, infections, and tumors of the extremities, bones, joints, and soft tissues of the extremities and pelvis. The imaging methods and procedures include, but are not limited to, x-ray, CT, ultrasound, MRI, arthrography, and image-guided percutaneous biopsy techniques.
Musculoskeletal radiologists work closely with many other types of physicians including orthopedic surgeons, emergency medicine physicians, primary care, rheumatologists, and oncologists.
